Long John
John is 14 years old. He is very tall for his age. He is 6 foot, 6 inches (2 meters). His friends call him “Long John”. People are surprised to find out that he is still a teenager. Both his parents are average height, so John’s height seems unusual.
It causes problems for him, especially when he travels. Beds in the hotels are too short, and there is never enough legroom on airplanes. He is very uncomfortable. When he can, he prefers to take a train because he can walk around and stretch his legs.
